Among the multitude of conferences that cover SharePoint, there is one which focuses on the Best Practices in SharePoint. Now that is a definite big plus in my mind since there are so many ways to build solutions the wrong way in SharePoint 
. Mindsharp and Summit7 systems are the ones putting together this conference in Washington DC, Aug 24 – 27, 2010.
